About us

Historcal Chronicle

Established in 1965 as the Technical and Vocational School of the Food Industry, the institution was originally founded to prepare highly specialized personnel for the meat, dairy, bakery, confectionary and flour processing sectors. Throughout its history, the institute has evolved significantly: it became a Vocational Training Center 1991, the Technological School of Food Industry in 1999, and the Food Technological College in 2000, before eventually expanding into the Institute of Technology in 2011.

The institute admits graduates from 9th and 11th grade secondary schools, as well as students from other technical and vocational institutions. We offer comprehensive training programs, granting both professional certificates and master’s degrees in the fields related to food industry, hospitality service and food technology.

The institute holds accreditations in Mongolia and has been recognized twice at the Asia Pacific regional level. It was selected as a top performing vocational institution in 2011 and 2012. Furthermore, we have received “Premium Management School” award from the Ministry of Labor, the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association of Technical and Vocational School. In 2013, the Institute was also honored with the “Top Standard” school award by the Foundation for Social Standards.

Through formal cooperation agreements, the institute collaborates with over 10 universities and vocational schools across the People’s Republic of China, Russian Federation, the Republic of Korea, and France. We are an active member of professional bodies including the Association of Chefs and the Mongolian Meat Association. Additionally, we maintain strong partnerships with research organizations, factories, and NGOs to continually enhance the knowledge and capacity of our faculty and students.
